Herbs for lightening, dying and highlighting blonde hair
Herbs for conditioning and highlighting Pale or Golden Blonde hair:

Marigold flowers also known as Calendula , chamomile flowers, nettle, rhubarb root, safflower, mullein flowers, Catnip, rosehips,  lemon

Calendula adds highlights to blonde and brown hair. It also works wonders for dandruff.

Rhubarb is a known hair lightener. Mix 1/4 cup of chopped fresh rhubarb or roots to 2 cups of boiling water. Cool the mixture, strain, and use as a rinse after shampooing and before conditioning.
Herbs for conditioning and highlighting Warmer, Golden or Strawberry Blonde hair:

Barberry, ginger, Goldenrod Powder,  Lichen, Rhubarb, Bloodroot, Elderflowers

Elderflowers lighten and condition the hair and scalp. Makes a great lightener with warm tones.
To lighten, color or highlight your hair naturally, most recipes call for a hair rinse or tea. Several applications will be needed for lightening effects. For more dramatic results, see more information on lightening your hair naturally.
Natural dye for blonde hair recipes can be adjusted to suit your hair color needs. Add some Comfrey to treat thinning hair. Or Fenugreek to strengthen and condition. The possibilities are endless.
