You can gradually lighten hair overtime with chamomile. This recipe will also add soft highlights with pale tones to blonde hair. On brunettes, it will lighten slightly, depending on how many times you do this process.

Chamomile Hot Oil Treatment

Ingredients: 1/2 cup of the chamomile flowers, 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil, 1/2 tablespoon Castor oil, 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

Directions: Steep 1/2 cup of the chamomile flowers in a 6 cups of boiling water for 30 minutes. Strain the tea and allow to cool. For a stronger brew, repeat this process. Pour into a bottle. Add oils. Shake vigorously. Apply to dampened hair, place plastic cap on hair and allow to set for 30-45 minutes. Shampoo hair then condition as normal.
Homemade Hair Color Dye Recipes:How to color and add highlights to blonde hair
Hair color rinses are a great way for blondes to add highlights and change the tone of your hair. You can darken, add strawberry tones and also tone your hair naturally with a handful of herbs and a few simple steps.
To add highlights to your hair naturally while sitting in the sun, a chamomile and lemon juice blend works well. Use a deep conditioner after the treatment as lemon juice can be drying.

Blonde Highlights Hair Color Rinse

Ingredients: 1 cup lemon juice, 3 cups chamomile tea (brewed, & cooled)

Directions: Mix ingredients, pour over damp hair then let sit for an hour while you sit in the sun, wash out. Follow with a good conditioner. Do this a few times a week to notice the highlights.
Chamomile Rinse Lightener Treatment

Directions To make Chamomile Tea Rinse: Steep 1/2 cup of the chamomile flowers in a 6 cups of boiling water for 30 minutes. Strain the tea, and allow to cool

To Use: Shampoo and condition hair as normal. Tip head over bathtub or sink. Use a bowl underneath to catch the liquid. Pour the tea through towel-dried hair a few times. Leave on hair for 30 minutes, then rinse with clean water.
